Daniel Balaji, a well-known actor
from Tamil and Malayalam movies, died on March 29 in Chennai from a heart
arrest at the age of 48. He went to the hospital complaining of chest trouble,
and while receiving treatment, he passed suddenly. According to reports, his
final ceremonies would take place at his Chennai home in Purasawalkam.
Siddharth Srinivas posted a picture of Daniel and the news of his passing on
the social media site X. "RIP #Daniel Balaji, the gifted actor who died an
hour ago from a heart attack," he posted. I hope his soul is at peace. We
will never forget his voice and acting in movies like Polladhavan and
Vettaiyadu Vilayadu."

and sent Daniel's family sympathies after reading his post.
Daniel Balaji got his start in the
film business working behind the scenes on Marudhanayagam, the unreleased film
starring Kamal Haasan. Playing Daniel in his debut television series, Chithi,
helped him establish his acting career. His name was changed to Daniel Balaji
for his next TV series, Aliyugam, as a result of his powerful performance.
His cinema career began with
supporting parts in April Maadhathil, his debut Tamil film. But after appearing
as a police officer in the Suriya-starring film Kaakha Kaakha, he became even
more well-known. In the popular movie Vettaiyadu Vilayadu, he costarred with
Kamal Haasan and looked into a string of police killings. In the role, he found
considerable popularity. His portrayal of a terrible villain in Polladhavan and
in this role helped him establish himself as one of the most powerful villains
in Tamil cinema. He was particularly appreciated for this performance.
In the Telugu movie Chirutha, Daniel
costarred with Ram Charan as an adversary, demonstrating his adaptability in a
variety of cinematic genres. His reputation as a talented performer in the
action-thriller genre was further cemented when he performed a crucial part in
the 2009 film Muthirai.
